The Los Pinos farm covers 10ha of land at an altitude of more than 1600 meters. 6ha are used to produce coffee : Catuai and IH-90.
IH-90 is hybrid varietal introduced by IHCAFE, Instituto Hondureño del Café. It's a mix between Caturra and Timor, it has good productivity and high disease resistance. It is known to taste poorly...
But as usual, beyond the dogmas there's the cup, and this one is brilliant ! Timor ancestors gives it a great body and Caturra sweetness, structure and balance. Add to that the job's done at the farm and you get a great clean cup !
