More infos :
Daterra is a big farm that combines research, environmental protection and sustainable development.
Unlike most farms, it focuses much of its efforts in the aroma of the cup by making mixtures of varietals and processes.
The farm is subdivided into mini farms, themselves divided in what they call "quadras". Each quadra contains a specific varietal. This allows constant monitoring of the plants and then allows Daterra perform the appropriate mix to obtain the desired taste profile.
It is therefore not surprising to discover that in 2008, 6 of 8 finalists in the WBC (World Baristas Championship) used the Daterra in their blend.
